2022 Event Planner's Guide

Q:HOW HAS MAINE’S HOSPI TAL I T Y INDUSTRY ADAPTED TO COVID? A: We take our own health and safety and that of our guests seriously! Most hotels, restaurants and shops have responded to Covid concerns by implementing protocols to minimize the risk of enjoying their businesses. Since every business is unique, please refer to each property’s website for full details on their current policies. You’ll find enhanced sanitation and social distancing measures in place and most locations require unvaccinated guests to wear face coverings. Maine continues to rely on State and Federal CDC guidelines when restricting attendee numbers and mandating other safety measures. Travel guidelines are constantly changing so refer to the State’s updated Covid website, maine.gov/covid19/ where you’ll find safety recommendations, state statistics, vaccination and testing information, and FAQs for travel and visitors.

Q:WHERE DO WE GET THE BEST LOBSTER? A: Maine Lobster is the sweetest, most flavorful lobster you can eat—hand-caught by local fishermen committed to sustainable fishing for generations. Many restaurants offer a variety of lobster dishes but all are made with the freshest of Maine’s most sought-after delicacy. Q:WHERE CAN I HAVE A LOBSTER BAKE? A: There are several ways you can host your own lobster bake for your group. You can bring in a local caterer to one of our unique venues, dine at one of Portland’s mouth-watering restaurants, or even take a scenic cruise on Casco Bay as you crack into those lobsters.
