THE PURPOSE Increase motorcoach and group travel
OVERVIEW The American Bus Association (ABA) Marketplace, held January 12–15, 2026, in Reno, Nevada, is the motorcoach and group travel industry’s premier business development event. The conference brings together tour operators, destination organizations, hotels, attractions, and travel service providers from across North America for a combination of scheduled business appointments, educational programming, networking, and marketplace activities. Through ABA’s structured appointment system, Visit Portland connects directly with tour operators responsible for developing and selling group travel itineraries, creating opportunities to position Greater Portland as a preferred destination for motorcoach and group tours. OUR STRATEGY Engage directly with qualified tour operators through scheduled one-on-one appointments, networking opportunities, and destination marketing efforts that showcase Greater Portland’s attractions, accommodations, dining, and group-friendly experiences. By building long-term relationships and highlighting the region’s accessibility, appeal, and visitor offerings, we encourage inclusion in future motorcoach and group travel itineraries.
