THE PURPOSE Ensure Greater Portland is prominently featured during the travel planning process, positioning the region as a must-visit destination and directing prospective travelers to our businesses, attractions, and experiences. OUR STRATEGY Leverage a full-page presence in Maine’s premier travel planning guide to reach highly engaged travelers actively considering a visit to the state. Through compelling imagery and destination-focused messaging, we increase awareness, strengthen Greater Portland’s position within the Maine travel experience, and inspire visitation.

OVERVIEW Maine Invites You is the official state travel planner for the Maine Office of Tourism and the largest statewide travel publication in circulation. Published annually by the Maine Tourism Association, it serves as the primary “fulfillment piece” for potential visitors, with hundreds of thousands of copies distributed at visitor centers, trade shows, and via direct mail to travelers
