CONNECT NORTH Abby Traver attended Connect North in Pittsburgh, PA (January 28–29, 2026), connecting with more than 100 meeting planners and industry professionals. During the event she conducted 22 one-on-one appointments with meeting planners, strengthening relationships and generating new leads. RESULTS: • 22 planner appointments conducted • 100+ planners and industry professionals engaged • Approximately 100 new planner contacts added to the database

MPI NEW ENGLAND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE Visit Portland maintains membership with MPI, including the New England Chapter, to access digital advertising, in-person event exposure, and direct networking opportunities. Participation provides meaningful face-to-face engagement and educational experiences with regional meeting planners. This year, Visit Portland attended the MPI New England’s Educational Institute in Worcester, MA (March 2–3). ENGAGEMENT HIGHLIGHTS: • Connected with 44 industry professionals • Attended 7 professional development seminars • Participated in an in-person meeting with the MPI New England Chapter Committee

NEW ENGLAND SOCIETY OF CONVENTION & VISITOR BUREAUS (NESCVB)

Although the organization dissolved in 2025, Visit Portland attended the final meeting planner luncheon in Boston. The event provided an opportunity to connect with planners from across New England. RESULTS: • 400+ meeting planner contacts added to the database
