THE PURPOSE Make Greater Portland easy to do business with by serving as a single point of contact for meeting and event planners. By connecting planners with local hotels, venues, and service providers, we streamline the planning process, increase destination consideration, and generate group business that benefits the entire region. OUR STRATEGY Act as a centralized resource for meeting planners, eliminating the need to independently contact dozens of hotels, venues, and vendors. By understanding each planner’s needs and distributing qualified leads to the appropriate partners, we streamline the sourcing process, improve response efficiency , and create a seamless experience that makes Greater Portland a more competitive meetings destination.

OVERVIEW Visit Portland serves as a trusted resource for meeting and event planners, helping them navigate the destination selection process and connect with the hotels, venues, and service providers needed to host successful events. Through personalized site visits, lead distribution, and ongoing planning support, we simplify the sourcing process, save planners valuable time, and showcase the unique advantages of hosting meetings in Greater Portland. These efforts continue to drive group business, generate overnight stays, and strengthen the region’s economic impact.
