PARKING Portland Parking Metered parking has a 2-hour max; coin-operated meters or mobile pay via Passport Parking app; free on-street parking from 6pm-9am (Mon-Sat), all day Sunday/ holidays; accessible parking exempt from fees, double the time limit. Cape Elizabeth/ Fort Williams Park Free parking behind Fort Williams Park; Premium spots have an hourly rate, with daily and season passes available. Freeport Free 1-2 hour street parking; free unlimited parking at Freeport Village Station and L.L. Bean. South Portland Free unlimited parking (except permit areas); no on-street parking from midnight to 6am (Dec 1-Apr 1). Westbrook Free 1-2 hour street parking; free 6-hour parking in designated downtown lots. City vs Private Parking United Parking Partners (UPP) operates many lots in Portland with dynamic pricing and no grace period. If you exceed your time, you’ll be ticketed or booted. Consider on-street parking or city-owned lots/ garages instead.
