JACK & JILL LATE STAGE CANCER FOUNDATION

Visit Portland has partnered with The Jack & Jill Late-Stage Cancer Foundation (JAJF), which was inspired by the real-life story of Jill and Jon Albert. During Jill’s fight with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, Jill, Jon, and their two young children quickly realized the disease was not just attacking her body, but it was affecting the entire family. The Alberts knew that strong memories of special times together would be both their kids’ greatest inheritance. From this notion and inspiration, the Jack & Jill Late-Stage Cancer Foundation (JAJF) was born. JAJF’s mission is to treat families to WOW! Experiences®, giving children who will lose their Mom or Dad to cancer a timeout to create indispensable memories as a family… while they can. Visit Portland is honored to host a family, June 25-29, 2025. Jessica, 49, has terminal metastatic breast cancer. She lives in Burke, Virginia, with her husband and their children, who are 17 and 19 years old. With the help of many of our partner businesses, Jessica and her family will enjoy a memorable, stress-free experience together in Portland.
