This online platform will centralize essential information for job seekers and industry professionals alike. Features will include a database of local job postings, valuable career resources, and training information designed to empower the workforce. The site will also outline career pathways within the hospitality sector, offer inspiring video testimonials from industry members, list upcoming community networking events, and provide important industry information. This strategic initiative underscores Visit Portland’s commitment to building a strong, skilled, and sustainable workforce.

Visit Portland is partnering with Madden Media’s PR team on comprehensive public relations efforts to amplify our destination’s appeal. These strategic initiatives are designed to reach a more diverse audience, encouraging visitation across diverse demographics and interests. A key focus is to attract more visitors during the winter and shoulder seasons, leveraging compelling stories that highlight Portland’s unique charm beyond peak summer. Through these PR campaigns, we aim to strategically position Portland as the authentic Maine that people envision, yet so much more – a dynamic city that is simultaneously hip, gritty, culturally diverse, and welcoming.
