THE PURPOSE OUR STRATEGY To position Greater Portland as a premier sports tourism destination to drive visitation and extend overnight stays. To collaborate with minor league teams—including Hearts of Pine, Maine Celtics, Sea Dogs, and Maine Mariners—and develop targeted marketing campaigns that attract dedicated sports fans. By promoting the excitement of the games and the broader visitor experience, we amplify Portland’s appeal and reinforce its national reputation as a top destination for minor league sports tourism.
