NYC MEDIA AND TRAVEL WRITER
WHAT DID THE PROJECT ENTAIL? Visit Portland teamed up with Maine Life Media and Visit Freeport to showcase Freeport’s winter charm. Over two days, they captured boutique shopping, hospitality, and outdoor fun. Highlights included the Harraseeket Inn, local bakeries, and downtown shops with handcrafted goods. HOW DID IT MAKE AN IMPACT? The project promoted Freeport’s winter appeal, encouraged off-season tourism, and supported local businesses. It boosted the town’s visibility as a year-round destination and strengthened community partnerships through authentic, local storytelling.
WHAT DID THE PROJECT ENTAIL? Visit Portland joined the “Taste of Maine” Media Marketplace in NYC, hosted by the Maine Office of Tourism, to connect with top travel, culinary, and lifestyle media. The goal was to highlight Greater Portland and build relationships for future editorial coverage. HOW DID IT MAKE AN IMPACT? Engaging with major media outlets boosted Greater Portland’s visibility as a top destination. These connections are expected to drive future coverage, attract visitors, and strengthen Visit Portland’s media network.
